Our History

Kaya Records is a music recording studio located in Kwale County, Kenya, which focuses on nurturing and growing talent. I was started in 2021 and has grown into a powerhouse for coastal talent.

October 2021

Official launch of Kaya Records Studio

The studio officially opened it’s doors on 27th October 2021. An event that was graced by over 50 artists, both contemporary and traditional from all over the Kenyan
October 2020

Conceptualizing a recording studio

Construction of a sister studio, of Radio Kaya, began in the mid 2020 attracting major artists.
FEBRUARY 2021
The first recording
On February, 2022  Kaya records had its first song done by artist  Mercy Kemboi aka Linah Singer from Watamu. The song is tiltled  I GOT YOU

Robby Dallaz

Robby is a man of many trades; a Presenter and audio producer. Robby loves the microphone; in his free time you can find him at an event as MC. A supervisor and music producer at Kaya records, Robby is actively involved in song writing, beat making and voicing artists.

Willy Melody

Producer Melody begun his music production career early in his life.
He started working as a co-producer in different Studios in the coast region. He learned more skills about mixing and mastering and got qualified. A singer himself, he loves live band music, vocal training, song writing and making a good and quality music.

Taalia is a social media queen and manages social media accounts for Kaya Records. She loves everything to do with media, with experience in TV and radio station, PR and online marketing. She is excited about promoting artists managing artist’s online presence.
